A French Inspired Bridal Shower

As a child, I loved Connect the Dots. It just never got old to me. Ever. A series of dots soon became a bouquet of flowers. Or a wide-eyed dog. I loved it. Many years later, I still find myself connecting the dots…and people. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Jaclyne of Heavenly Blooms a few months ago and later introduced her to Chandra of Oh Lovely Day. Together they brainstormed ideas then turned to Amanda of In The Now Weddings for stylizing the shoot…and then a snowflake turned into a snowball. A very big snowball.

What started as a French-inspired bridal shower turned into a photographic feast of wedding details. When I arrived at the Richard Nixon Library, I was surprised by just how much there was…the team turned a simple idea into something far greater…they were absolutely ah-maz-zing to work with!

I was thrilled see this shoot featured on Style Me Pretty and I must thank everyone involved who made this simple idea come to life…

I’m not sure what inspires me more, your composition at that "right moment", or your incredibly accurate use of depth of field. t’s always dead on, JUST enough in focus to make that image go POW. No wonder you’re voted the top 10 in the world, I totally agree.

I just got back from my best friends bridal showers and she’s a bit of a crazy one so we had been looking for something exceptional. Every single one of us made a personalized scavenger hunt t-shirt and the bride had to mark off topics off our shirts throughout the night… we entertained the bride with lots of drinks and absolutely everyone had plenty of fun. We identified lots of terrific supplies on this website if you’re seeking for ideas:
