Friday Randomness : Dr. Seuss + Dancing Queens

Last night JD carried me upstairs, brushed the hair from my eyes, and promised it’d be okay. He knew I was stressed, but somehow managed to pick up all the pieces I dropped and carried on. The antibiotics had yet to kick in, so I coughed until I cried. No crying, he said, we’re going to be fine. As we weave our way through California into Arizona this morning, we are fine. Just as he promised.

JD managed to pack our bags for a month, load our gear, organize our toiletries, and intentionally omit the miniature suit case of dog clothes I packed for Polo. Now, I don’t know what this really means (I might be wearing a mix of hot mess clothes because I didn’t pack myself), but what I do know is we’ve officially hit the road for a wild adventure.

I’ve been feeling pretty down about my sickness, but this video made me laugh. Out loud. As soon as I’m healthy enough, I’m so going to add this to my workout…

Speaking of totally random bouts of laughter, I can’t help but appreciate a little bit snarkdom…

Sometimes I wish I could use this emoticon and people would know exactly how I’m feeling…

I’ll end with this lil note from Dr. Seuss because, really, he has it going on and this’ll be my mantra for the month…

Happy Friday!

Oh Jasmine, I love reading your blog! Even when your sick, you seem to find the joy in the little things. That video was awesome! I want some mean dancing skills like that while I’m working out! Oh wait, I don’t work out much with 5 kids hanging on my leg. Or maybe that’s a workout in and of itself?! Probably not, but it makes me feel little better about my lack of getting a workout in! Anyways, feel better soon!

OMG – the Dancing Queen! I was dying laughing. But it reminds me of the oh so horrible times (not time but timeS) that I’ve fallen off the treadmill at the gym. Embarrassing! If I’d had her moves I’m sure it would have been a far less traumatic experience! Get better soon!

Get well my dear, sorry to hear you’re ill. One of my all time fav poems is by Dr Seuss, I wrote about it in my blog I LOVE it ‘The Places You Go’. It makes my cry when I read it. Glad you know his wise words I recently sent his book to my groom he had eye surgery, to cheer him up and asked bride to read to him xx
