Kisses+Disses : Pajamas Pants + Lady Gaga

The night before JD’s birthday, I was slated to speak in Nashville, Tennessee at 6:30pm. At 6:15pm, I realized IT WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE JD’S BIRTHDAY. I quickly grabbed my camera and begged him for a photoshoot. Two minutes wasted and he finally agreed, but I have no time to change, so he and I ran off the bus wearing our all-day attire. JD always looks put together…and I? Well, I look as put together as a 1,000 piece puzzle in a box, so I decided to not care when people stared at my pajama pants and tank top. I dragged him through Nashville alleys and kicked beer bottles out of the way to capture the last day before his numerals changed.

Now, this really wasn’t such an easy task.

But at the end of our four-minute photoshoot, I was able to capture one that stole my heart….and then I sprinted back to bus in my PJ’s to get dressed for the show and act like I HAVE IT TOGETHER!

Which leads me to another installment of Kisses and Disses

This week’s DISSES go to…
*Pajama Pants. For being so comfortable….I’m tempted to make them my official fashion statement.
*Still being sick. I can’t kick the cold/flu/Black Lung I got in Las Vegas, so when I cough I sound like 87 year old frog. Who smokes.
*Limited wifi. Traveling has proven difficult because as we head to New York City, with a bar on every corner, AT&T can’t seem to get my one bar on my wifi.

This week’s KISSES go to…
*Nashville. For not thinking I was legitimately crazy in my PJ’s yelling, beeeeauuuutiful! The light! The light! Let’s chase the light!
*Ambien. I’m having a hard time sleeping these days, so I’m thankful to have a sleeping aide by my side, except on mornings when I wake up convinced I’m Lady Gaga.
*Polo. We brought him along to travel with us and he’s the only reason I’m not homesick….although I’m tempted to buy him a pair of pajama pants too!

Happy Friday!

I practically LIVE in my pajama pants…well, comfy pants as my husband and I call them haha. I don’t bother to change them if I have to run to the grocery store or the post office either. People look at me funny, but at least I’m comfortable 🙂

In Atlanta, my uncle and I arrived late for the meet and greet, only about 10 minutes before the workshop actually began. Needless to say, there were NO seats to be found–especially not two seats together. My uncle was diagnosed with cancer last year and I was excited to spend some time with him pursuing a mutual hobby, so I was kind of bummed about the seating, but then JD appeared out of no where and asked if we needed some help. He went and got two more seats for us and put them way up front in the third row! I was so excited! Thank you, JD!

At The Fix in Atlanta, my uncle and I arrived a little late for the meet and greet, so there were no seats to be found, especially not two together. I was pretty bummed; my uncle has cancer and I was looking forward to spending time with him, pursuing a mutual hobby. JD appeared out of nowhere and asked if we needed help. I was little in awe of the famous JD, but I told him we were looking for two seats and he disappeared for a few minutes, but came back with two chair! He put them right in the 3rd row for us! JD, you’re awesome! Thank you so much!

Love the candids, Jasmine. And I am STILL sick after Vegas as well. I don’t know what we all caught, but I know another photographer who was infected too. Craziness!

Hope you had fun in Nashville. I love that city. And feel better!

I hope that you will continue to recover from the nasty crud….hope that the South did not give it to you 🙁 Have a wonderful time on your travels and one day I WILL get to one of your workshops!!!! (even if it kills me!) Hugs to Polo for keeping you happy…and happy birthday to your gorgeous hubby!

JD is always so stylish! Love the photos! And that you wore pajama pants! Maybe if they were made out of burlap, they wouldn’t be so tempting to wear all day long!!!
Please feel better soon! Can’t wait to meet you in the Windy City next week!!!!!!

I hadn’t realized you were an April girl with a March husband also. I’m also not able to sleep through the night right now – waking up at 3 or 4 am and not able to go back to sleep- maybe it’s in the stars for us at the moment. Instead of fighting it, I’m just using that morning alone time to journal, pamper, and get a little work done before swinging into the day with everyone else. Hope you feel better soon and get to take a nice week off from it all when you get home!

It was so good to see you again last night. You are really special to me. So sorry to hear you’re still sick. I’ll be praying for you. It’s incredible to hear all the chatter in DC about how much people are moved & taking action in their lives today after theFIX last night. I’m still stunned & thinking of ways to create control to build my confidence & get out there…Thanks for caring so deeply about each of us. Enjoy JD, Polo, & your pj’s 😉
