Umm, DJ…music, please! Lauren motioned with her one free hand toward the computer sitting in the corner of the large room and one of her bridesmaids clicked on a playlist. Rascal Flatts' song “My Wish” played loudly through the speakers and Lauren's sister sighed as she ran the curling iron through her hair and said, This is YOUR song! As the finishing touches of Lauren's makeup were completed, she lightly sang along as her bridesmaids acted as backup. Apparently, they were as fixated for her dreams to stay big and her worries stay small as she was.
The ladies made their way to the church and gentlemen were waiting upstairs for the ceremony to begin. Kyle and his groomsmen quietly placed their jackets on straight, swapped cologne choices, and took last-minute peeks at themselves in a small wall mirror. The girls, however, were in the bridal room laughing hysterically, singing and dancing to their personal pop renditions, and cracking jokes at each other's expense. Lauren was calm and cool and she'll most likely attribute it to her bridesmaids…and the fact that she was marrying her high school sweetheart. They dated long-distance through college and once she finishes her nursing degree, they'll live in New York City together. Lauren summed everything up quite nicely when she said, The apartment is small, but Kyle and I are in love, so that really doesn't matter…as long as we're together, we'll be fine. Yes, their dreams will stay big and their worries will stay small as long as they keep that frame of mind.
Lauren and Kyle, thank you for being so wonderful…and thank you for your trust. You booked me before I had a website…without meeting me…and only reading my blog. I'm blown away by your faith in my ability to capture your wedding day and I want to thank you for welcoming me into your amazing network of family and friends. I'm truly honored. I know you're both destined for great things in the Big Apple and I can't wait to hear of your future successes. Much Love and Appreciation… J*
