Mondayism

Today is Monday. Just the mere fact that I actually can type this makes me happy. Because my brain is stuck somewhere on Friday. I have a few shoots to blog, but I'm preparing for my second photography workshop tomorrow, so I'm honing my talking skills…which, of course, takes a TON of honing since I'm the sweet and silent type. 🙂

There's been a few things lately that I want to blog about, but I think combining them would make more sense. It's all a little random, but so am I…

*cell phone
I recently upgraded to the iPhone 3G and while it was nice shaving time off my web surfing, the battery life was the worst thing. Ever. Then I found the Mophie battery. It's basically a charger case. I know, I know…I have no hope in tech sales, eh?! My phone is kept in the Mohpie case and whenever my battery is dying, I switch the Mophie on and it charges my battery.

*junebug
Last June, I met Christy of Junebug Weddings at Kasey and Nick's Seattle wedding. Kasey and Christy were friends, so it was natural for Kasey to use Junebug–a wedding website highlighting handpicked vendors–to plan her wedding. Lo and behold, a year later, Junebug has moved to Southern California and they're helping brides make wedding planning easier, featuring their favorite SoCal wedding peers. If you're a bride, definitely check it out! JunebugWeddings.com.

*dawn and bob davis
Often times, when JD and I travel for tradeshows or conferences, I'm fluttering around and and flying from place to place, and JD patiently waits, supports, and carries me back to hotel room when my feet hurt. I'm the sail, and he's the anchor. Most times, I'm usually chatting with people, but JD–happily–stands back and chills out. It was during a said stand-and-chill moment, when Dawn Davis approached JD and got to know him personally. But that's just Dawn. She's amazing, kind, and sweeter than honey. Seriously. Yes, she and her husband shoot amazing weddings and travel the world, but they have hearts of gold. Definitely check them out! BobandDawnDavis.com*root beer
So one time. One time I made JD a root beer float and he was all, I can marry you all over again because of this! Yes, Internet, I conned my husband into marrying because of my deft ability to scoop and pour. Since my first root beer float, I've experimented with different root beers (can you say OCD?!), and I think we've found the perfect fit: Henry Weinhard's Root Beer. Just the perfect amount of froth and a smooth aftertaste. Try it and you'll thank me. Or you can simply con your long-time boyfriend into marrying you by simply making him one per my suggestion. And then you can hire me to shoot your wedding! 😉

Happy Monday!
