Pelican Hill Wedding : Elise + Chris

It seemed apropos for her to marry in a garden. Elise spent her childhood roaming through her grandparents’ gardens, acres of vegetables and flowers just begging to be picked. She shucked corn with her grandma and removed worms from the soft, brown soil from where they grew. Years later, she returned to those gardens with her fiance, Chris, to walk the pathways that contained the sweetest memories.

On their wedding day, love letters her grandfather wrote to her grandmother were read aloud…deep declarations of loyalty, devotion, and affection from a solider stationed in London during World War II. In like manner, Chris promised his life to his blushing bride surrounded by flowers, as friends and family looked on. They swore to keep things fresh, to love until their last breath, and to never go to bed angry.

Just like flowers in her grandmother’s garden, Elise and Chris were begging to be picked. Luckily for them, they picked each other for a life of love and happiness.

Elise and Chris, I hope you’re enjoying every second of your surprise honeymoon in Tahiti…island hop until your feet get tired! 😉 Thank you for allowing me the privilege to capture your first day as husband and wife…it was an honor I didn’t take lightly. Much Love and Appreciation… j*

Purple glitter Christian Louboutin’s for a wedding day? Elise was ready to get the party started…

Elise donned a gorgeous wedding dress…

Elise commemorated her grandparents by pinning their photos to her bouquet, designed by White Lilac

The gorgeous wedding was held at Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach and filled with beautiful personal elements…

So in love…and looked at each other like this all day…

After the ceremony, we roamed Pelican Hill to catch the last bit of sunset for their wedding photos…

Elise you’re beyond. Really. And JD thinks so too…which is how he was able to capture this photo. GORGE!

Oh, go ON you two!

If this A Wish and a Whisk cake tasted half as delicious as it smelled, it was awesome. Times ten.

Many, many thanks to Jeannie Savage of Details, Details for orchestrating an amazing day. She and her team ensured the day flowed smoothly and that the creative team had fun in the process…love her.

Jane and Dody of White Lilac were on hand on one of the hottest days in Newport Beach to ensure the Pelican Hill ballroom felt like the garden of Elise’s wishes…their talent is mind blowing. Truly.

The First Dance…

…and some amazing toasts…

The night was made truly delightful in large part to the ever amazing James Gang Band…such a FUN band to get a party started right!
