Can You Help Me Choose The Color Of My House?

At the end of 2025, I decided that I wanted a brand refresh, which is different than a rebrand.

A refresh (as defined by me) has three requirements (here again, as required by me):

  1. Time Friendly: I can update my brand, but I cannot redesign/create something new.
  2. Budget Friendly: The updates must be made by me (not a contractor, developer, or designer).
  3. Vibe Friendly: The refresh should feel like painting your home, same house, new vibe.

Want to see how this happened for me in just a few hours? Maybe you can do a refresh too with these easy steps.

Example: My website, JasmineStar.com

I use Showit for my website platform, which allows me to make changes in seconds without needing a tech background, so I made a list of what I wanted refreshed on my site.

First up, I updated my homepage video. Nothing fancy, just used my iPhone camera and recorded a 5-second clip. I dragged the video into Showit and it automatically updated.

As I prepared to optimize my website for A.I. search engines (also known as Generative Engine Optimization, I had a call with the Showit marketing team for their best advice and tips…and I created a video podcast sharing all I learned.

Using those tools, I updated copy across my website to ensure my brand was properly represented.

I also updated the About section as a huge focus this year is to scale my personal brand.

I also wanted to include personal aspects to ensure people understood more of, well, me.

On the topic of GEO searchability, I am blogging 2-3 times per week to ensure my site is updated and staying relevant with new entries about topics dream clients and partners are looking for.

Lastly, I added testimonials to the Speaking section (because a brand isn’t what you say, it’s how you make people feel, so when they tell you, it’s important to share it!)

And, lastly, I added recent Podcast reviews from listeners…the Jasmine Star Show is a labor of pure love, so sharing its impact on others gives me no greater joy.

So, there you have it.

My brand refresh took less than a couple of hours, but it feels like my business got a new coat of paint.

And that? That is a powerful way to grow my business this year. I hope the same for you.

To a refresh,

j*

P.S. My good friend, Todd, is the founder of Showit (I was his second customer, ever). I love him, his vision, and passion for making business owners succeed. If you’re ready to build a website that works FOR you head >>HERE<< for a 14-day free trial + first month free when you subscribe!
