I know all too well how tempting it is to wait until things look just as you planned before sharing about them. To push a launch date until things are just right. To showcase an event after it went off without a hitch.
It’s so much more glamorous (and let’s be real, comfortable) to show the highlight reel of our business without people seeing the nerves, stress, anxiety, and fear that happens behind the scenes. I get it. I’ve been there too.
Over the past couple of years, I’ve chosen to start showing more of my behind the scenes and bringing people along for the journey. It was scary at first and I wasn’t sure what people would think or how they’d react. To my surprise, not only did they cheer me on but they found the courage and strength to start doing the same in their own lives.
As polished and perfect as it seems to show our finished products and share about our success once it’s happened, there’s no better way to establish connection than to bring others along as you choose possibility over perfection.
Only you can decide what and how much to share but the glimpse that you’re willing to give will encourage someone who needs it. It also gives you permission to experiment and experience the full scope of possibility.
And I need to admit that as hard as this is, I'm here to walk the talk. In fact, I came out and admitted a new project I'm working on (even though I have NO idea how I'll pull it off!) in this video…

24:15 – I’m so nervous I’m going to overwhelm everyone with all the upcoming events and photoshoots I want to promote. What do you think?
25:41 – I follow IG accounts that are literally servicing my ideal client…how can I learn from them so I can attract the same kind of clientele?
Today I just wanted to take a moment to encourage you to pursue possibility over perfection and bring others along for the ride. It’s as scary as it is exhilarating at times, but no one ever said the path of entrepreneurship was easy.
So chase those dreams, take that chance, and let people know about that project. Here’s to looking fear in the face as we move through it!
