Yesterday I received a lovely surprise in my mailbox. It was postmarked from Australia and my thoughts immediately became narrated in The Crocodile Hunter's voice. And, yes, I was thirty seconds from throwing a shrimp on the barbie. I received Capture Magazine, Australia's leading photography magazine, and I was honored to be part of an article written about workshops.

I hosted my first workshop in Australia in 2010 and it was one of the highlights of my career. No, life. I'll never forget hanging out with amazing people as we looked out to the Sydney Opera House. It was a lifelong dream to visit Oz, so when it came to reality, I was blown away.

The article focuses on the best way to invest and approach workshops, and offered insight on how to maximize your experience. Many thanks to Capture Magazine for including me in this piece.

Thinking about my time in Australia made me long to revisit. I know it sounds strange, but being there felt like a piece of my heart was at home. JD thinks the attractive lifeguards also had something to do it with, but let's leave that for another post.

If you're an Australian photographer who'd be interested in attending a workshop, EMAIL me and I'll form a list of inquiry. If there are enough people who want to attend, maybe we can plan something for early 2014!
