Go Run A Business

Get ready, boo boo. I’m about to ruffle some feathers.

Do people say your work is terrible?

Good.

Go run a business.

See, I told you…feathers are ruffled! *Actually, make that the whole dang chicken coop!*

For over a decade, I’ve fielded criticism from other photographers who think my work is terrible. But, I no longer let it get to me because I now know they’re viewing things from the wrong perspective. *Photography pun intended!*

Here’s how I see it:

>>You don’t have to be the best at what you do. You simply have to be able to connect with your customers better than the competition.<<

  • I don’t have to be the best or most artistic photographer to run a successful business.
  • I don’t have to be the best or smartest business strategist to run a successful business.
  • And you don’t have to be the best at what you do to run a successful business.

All we have to do is grab our audience’s attention and prove that we are the best for THEM.

Do you want to get busy? Grow your brand? Have a wildly successful career?

Good.

Go run a business.

Talk to your customers in a way that makes you seem like the perfect (and only) fit for them. Clearly demonstrate your understanding for their needs, proving that you care.

>>You don’t need to be the best in the industry. You simply need to be the best for YOUR customers.<<

Create content that will attract customers who are looking for what you provide. Be sure to use searchable key phrases so it’s easier for people to find you.

And when they do, personalize your content so it speaks to them AND is a reflection of your brand.

>>When people feel like content is written for them, they’re more likely to stay connected.<<

Are you ready to ruffle some feathers yourself, friend?

Good.

Go run a business.

I wish you the best as you learn how to be the best…for your customers. Their opinion is all that matters!
