How to Be Productive on Social Media

Did you ever wish your time spent on social media could be more productive for your business?

*I mean, I love scrolling through friends’ Insta stories as much as the next gal, but sometimes we just need to log in, get work done, and log off!*

If that’s the case for you, too, then you’re in the right place, my friend.

>>In this post, I’ll give you my 3 biggest tips for being more productive on social media, so you don’t spend more time than you have to on your apps.<<

*I bet this sounds great if you watched the new Netflix documentary, The Social Dilemma, like  JD and me!*

Let’s start with Tip 1.

Tip 1. Make Social Media Part of Your Schedule.

I live and die by my daily schedule (which you can see in my Productivity Planner!). I use Google Calendar to organize my tasks, meetings, and when to be on social media creating content, posting stories, and answering DM’s and comments. Having social media on the calendar for three, 20-minute segments of my day ensures I get the job done in a reasonable amount of time… no more, no less.

Tip 2. Set App Time Limits

Did you know you could set time limits to prevent you from spending too much time on your most-addictive apps? *Helllloooo TikTok!* This is one of my favorite ways to make sure I’m being as productive as possible on social media… the clock is ticking!

How to set App Limits:

  • On your iPhone, go to your settings > screen time > find app > set limit.
  • And for Android users, simply go to your settings > digital wellbeing and parental controls > find app > set limit.

Tip 3: Take Social Media Breaks

As business owners, social media can often feel like a heavy part of our jobs. I don’t know about you, but there have been times during this election season that I’ve wanted to throw my phone into the ocean and never touch social media again.

The solution? Take a break! Delete your apps for a few days (or a few weeks!) and when you come back, you’ll be refreshed and more productive than ever before.

Okay Hustler, ready to feel more productive? It’s time to take these tips and put them into practice!
