How to Use Instagram’s New Live Feature

Holy hot, new Instagram feature, Batman!

Have you heard the news, hustler?

Instagram recently came out with a new feature to use during IG Live, which is very similar to what I currently (and heavily) use while going live on Facebook… a slide feature!

>>You can now show photos (AKA slides) while you’re going live on the ‘gram!<<

*Hallelujah! Thank you, Mark Zuckerberg!*

This feature has been such a powerful tool for my Facebook Lives, and I see no reason why it won’t hold true on Instagram, so expect to see me using it a lot during my weekly Coffee & Conversations live chat!

So how can you use this new display feature in your own live videos to uplevel your business?

To start out, it’s best to make things simple. Here are three key items to prepare and use during an IG Live video:

Thesis

What is the overall point that you want to make? Summarize it in a powerful statement and showcase it in the beginning of your slides. This will set the stage for your live video.

Supporting Ideas

Bridge the gap of your thesis statement by providing two or three supporting ideas. This helps decrease overwhelm not only for you, but for your viewers! Be informative. Be inspirational. Be #allthethings!

Closing

In the end, loop it around to your initial idea. Take the time to answer any questions that viewers have asked during the live video. This is a great buffer to let people get to know you and your business.

>>I believe that EVERY business owner should use the live feature to show up and show who they are.<<

*If you’ve got something to sell, going live is like QVC on your dang phone!*

Listen boo boo, I know that going live is scary.

I still get nervous every single time I click the button to go live.

But I do it anyway.

>>There is a ton of potential waiting on the other side of your comfort zone.<<

*Soon, you’ll be geeking out over your love for this feature just like me!*
