Attention podcast hosts!
- Have you ever considered writing blog posts (or show notes) for your podcast?
- If so, do you know HOW to write them?
>>Podcast show notes are a great way to inform your audience what your episode is about and encourage them to then click play.<<
*Think of it as a teaser of your amazing content!*
Whether this is the first time you’re considering it or have thought about writing blog posts for your podcast before, this post is going to outline exactly how to do it.
Let’s get started!
Why You Should Write Podcast Show Notes
You might be wondering why it’s important to write show notes. I mean, it’s another *thing* right?
Well friend, it’s pretty important because as of right now, there is no way to search for podcast episodes on Google.
This means if you want your episode to get discovered, you need TEXT for it to show up in search engines.
>>Having a blog post about your podcast episode outlining what your episode is about will increase your podcast’s discoverability.<<

How to Write a Blog Post for Your Podcast
Although I know you probably started a podcast because you like to talk *I know I did!*, let’s discuss how to write your blog without adding too much to your plate.
If you’re like me, you probably use an outline to record your episodes to keep yourself on track when recording.
>>To write a blog post for your podcast, simply write a 350-500 word summary using your outline and voila!<<
*I also recommend embedding the audio in your blog post by getting the link to the mp3 file from your podcast hosting platform.*
