In Order To Sell On Social…

I see you, hustler.

You’ve worked tirelessly to get to where you are today.

Blood, sweat, and many tears have led up to this point.

Day in and day out, you’re working your booty off to build that business you’ve always dreamed of.

*But*, you’re still struggling with selling on social. There’s a disconnection somewhere.

  • Do you feel overwhelmed and hesitant about online transparency?
  • Are you wondering what more you could give your audience?
  • Have you become discouraged with social media altogether?

Those thoughts and feelings may be very real in the present moment, but you owe it to yourself to push through and keep fighting for the life you’ve envisioned.

The disconnect that you may be feeling now could be due to a lack of trust from your clients.

I attended SXSW a while back, and a particular quote from a speaker has stuck with me ever since:

>>“Trust is the digital currency on the web.”<<

Years later, this quote couldn’t be more accurate.

Trust isn’t easily handed out, Buttercup. Just like a paycheck has to be earned, you must work to gain trust.

“So how can I build trust amongst my audience?” *I’m so glad you asked!*

Show ‘em what you’ve got.

In order to sell on social, you must be willing to serve first.

>>Serve your audience the way that you want to be served.<<

Your audience wants to see your expertise before they make a commitment.

They also want to know Y-O-U. Use social media as an extension of your business to showcase not only what you do but who you are as a human being.

Answer questions, create conversations, and build relationships. Soon, you have an amazing tribe behind you that trusts you AND wants to work with you.

But Jasmine, if I show them everything that I do, why would they want to hire me?” *Seriously, you’re on fire with these questions, boo!*

>>Showing what you do not only provides validation that you know what you’re doing, but it proves that you’re confident in your abilities.<<

Nobody can do your job as well as you can. You know that. Now get your audience to believe it, too.

Open the figurative doors to that beautiful storefront or gorgeous virtual space that you’ve worked diligently to create. Use that hard-working energy of yours to invite your audience through those doors to build their trust.

You’ve got it in you to sell on social. There’s not a doubt in my mind about that.
