Interviewed on MSNBC – Your Business

Hello?

…Hellllllo?

…HELLLLLOOOO?

I have the worst cell phone reception at my house. It’s worse than AOL dial up.

If Alexander Graham Bell heard my telephone reception, he’d cry.

[Please tell me someone got that terrible joke…anyone?]

Last month, when I roamed in my backyard trying to get cell reception, I apologized to Jess, the MSNC television producer who called.

She asked if I could be a guest on MSNBC’s Your Business segment, and I excitedly replied yes.

But I’m sure it sounded like: “Yes, -hank -ou –ry mu–!”

(I blame AT&T.)

I was interviewed just after I spoke at the Traffic and Conversion Summit last month, and it aired nationally on Sunday morning!!

But you can also find the entire interview–How to Get Customers on Instagram–on the MSNBC website:

Before I got on camera, I started feeling nervous.

I began doubting myself.  Maybe the producer got me mixed up with someone else…?!?

I worried this was the part of my life when a group of people were gonna laugh in my face and say “YOU GOT PUNK’D!!”

[Although seeing Ashton Kutcher would be a pleasant surprise, let’s be real.]

In that moment, I took a few deep breaths and simply reminded myself to commit to ONE person.

If just ONE person saw this interview and was inspired to use Instagram to grow their business and change their life as a result, I’m standing.in.my.purpose.

My mission is to empower business owners to pursue their goals, to succeed in spite of the odds stacked against them, and to live a life of their dreams.

If you’re reading this, this is my chance to remind you that:

  • You are enough.
  • You are doing the best you can.
  • Building a business is a marathon, not a sprint…so keep going.

Many thanks to MSNBC for the opportunity to share my perspective…it’s an honor I get to pursue with YOU at my side.

Be still my heart.
