Have you ever had a best friend that doesn’t know you exist?
*I know, I know, that sounds ridiculous.*
I have many of those friends, but one of my BEST friends (unknown to her) is Brené Brown.
Today, I want to share three leadership skills that my bestie Brené taught me recently.
Rumble With Vulnerability
Rumble is a unique way to say, “Let’s have a conversation, even if it’s tough.” To rumble with vulnerability means that you as a leader listen with the same passion with which you want to be heard.
Live Into Your Values
As a leader, it’s your responsibility to be the foundational rock and voice of reason when the going gets tough. Who you are is how you lead, so be sure you have all of your priorities straight… both professionally and personally.
Braving Trust
Trust is a beautiful gift and one you need to earn from those you serve. If you want to have a relationship that fosters trust, you must create a culture that feels safe, seen, heard, and respected.
