I stepped under the Acquisition sign and into the building, the air conditioning a cool respite from the Las Vegas heat. I was nervous.
Not scared-nervous, but seconds-before-the-gun-fires-for-an-Olympic-sprint-nervous.
(I haven’t sprinted since 2009, but let’s not let the details get in the way here.)
I knew what I wanted to ask Leila Hormozi—deep-dive questions about her personal life, decisions, and an insider look as she builds a billion dollar business as the CEO—but wasn’t sure she’d answer.

And here’s the crazy thing: SHE DIDN’T ANSWER.
She, instead, admitted us into her world.
Leila opened up about everything from leadership, her upcoming book debut (and how her husband, Alex, sold over $100M in book sales from his recent self-publication in just two days), and starting a family.

She pulled no punches and what I experienced was a woman who was raw and totally open about the criticism she receives, the accolades she earns, and what her dream day actually looks like (hint: it’s not what you think).

The podcast is LIVE (you can find it on YouTube HERE or the audio-only version HERE), but I want to leave you with how Leila started the podcast because it hit a nerve with me:
“This was a weird year. I honestly think this is the most I have changed as a person in the last decade. My identity has shifted quite a bit. I'm in a place where I have let go of the old and recognize I cannot go back, but I still have yet to understand exactly what the new looks like. It's kind of uncomfortable, but I'm okay with it. I know it's directionally correct. Unsure what new completely looks like. Also excited for new. So maybe you can relate.”
I can’t wait for you to join our conversation as we ALL dwell in the uncertainty (and excitement) for what’s new.
Here for the adventure,
j*
