I am feeling more than a mix of emotions. Such an outpouring of love, support, and care has truly made me feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Yesterday afternoon, I couldn't get through my spinach salad without crying–even after JD told me a green sprig was stuck in my front two teeth–but when I returned home from an engagement session last night, I read all the beautiful comments left for my family and mother. I cried some more, but they were happy tears. Which are infinitely better and taste sweet.
And what's better is that your words–everyone's kind words–provided a renewed sense of faith for my mom. And for this, I'm beyond thankful.
A few people have emailed myself and JD offering to cancel appointments or shoots to give us some space. And I'm all, No way! Fear will rob us if we let it, leaving nothing but the kitchen sink and a half eaten box of Cheerios in its place. We will continue to live life…happily. We will continue to work, clean, email, photograph, and dance because that's what life is about. And I'll stand on my proverbial porch with a shotgun to protect it.
My mother's biopsy is today at noon, and as soon as I know the results, I'd be honored and humbled to let everyone know how things fared.
In other news, I'm happy to announce that Dawn Biernes was my 13,500th Blog Commentor! She'll be getting an iTunes gift card for leaving a little loving here on my cyber space. Thanks, Dawn! I'd also like to take a second to thank the many unveiled blog readers…for those of you who've been reading about my life and decided that yesterday was the day to offer encouragement, I appreciate you. I don't believe in blog-stalkers as much as I believe in faceless friends, so thanks for reaching out and offering your hand.
I'll end this post with a happy note from Sunday's wedding which I'll be blogging soon…
Life is about to get a whole lot easier.
Desperate for change, I created a Productivity Planner to help streamline my workflow and I kissed stress goodbye.
