There are Makers and there are Markers. The Makers set out to create something, write something, sing something…and the Markers set to mark everything that's wrong with the photo, the book, the song. This consistent pattern of critique has less to do with dissatisfaction and more to do with fear.
Markers are afraid of criticism, so they point out what's inconsistent, weak, and out of tune as a way to express an opinion without actually creating something themselves. Those who criticize without creating themselves only makes those who create stronger.
To the Makers, those who write, sing, dance, make, paint, capture…create…continue to own your craft and use the criticism to get better. And bolder.
