My debut as a Vlogger

It started 11 years ago. I picked up a camera and decided to post a video on YouTube. No lights, no mic, no script. Just free-flow talking and photography tips.

Here's the crazy thing: I quit YouTube in 2014. Almost ten years ago.

Long story short, I pivoted from my career as a photographer and I wanted a break from creating video content (which—let's face it—is hard).

For the past couple of years, I've posted on and off, but at the start of 2023, I decided to dive back in. Why? I wanted to get uncomfortable.

I've been posting business tips and podcast interviews, but a couple of weeks ago, I debuted a new 7-part VLOG SERIES.

Cue the millennial midlife crisis theme song here.

JK. Not really. Okay, it might be weird that I'm vlogging, but in the name of trying new things, your girl is c.o.m.m.i.t.t.e.d.

Here's the nutshell version of the vlog inception:

  • I was asked by INC Magazine and The UPS Store to be a Mentor for The Small Biz Challenge.
  • We're flying to New York City next month and one lucky winner will receive $25,000.
  • This six-week Challenge will be shared as a vlog, so YOU can join to do the Challenge with us!

You can watch the second installment >>HERE<< and work alongside us as we craft your Business WHY/Mission Statement.

On a personal note, the past three weeks have been nothing short of bananas. I feel like a spinning top, and while there are days when I want to jump off the rollercoaster, I'm grounded by the deep satisfaction of seeing business owners transform in front of my eyes.

This experience has been a humbling honor and I can't wait to be in New York City to celebrate soon!
