Have you ever answered the same question over and over again…only to realize the other person still isn't getting it?
If you've coached a client, led a team, sold an offer, or even negotiated bedtime with a six-year-old, you've probably experienced it.
Here's what I've learned: the question someone asks is almost never the real question they're trying to answer.
Recently, two things happened that completely reshaped how I think about communication.
First, I read research from the MIT Human Dynamics Lab showing that communication patterns account for nearly 40% of a team's performance. Not intelligence. Not talent. Not personality. Communication.
Then, one of my coaches inside The Consistent 10K asked me a question that stopped me in my tracks:
“How do you always know what question to ask to get to the root of what's really keeping someone stuck?”
Instead of replying in Slack, I turned it into a Lunch & Learn with my coaching team.
And today?
I'm giving you a front-row seat to that meeting.
In this episode, I'm sharing one of the most valuable leadership frameworks I've ever created—the same framework my coaching team uses every day to help entrepreneurs move from confusion to clarity and from hesitation to action.
Whether you're leading employees, serving customers, raising kids, or growing your own business, this conversation will completely change how you communicate.
One of my favorite moments in this episode is when I explain that every conversation contains two salespeople.
Whether you're convincing your child to take a bath, helping a client follow your process, or leading your team through change, you're selling a vision of what's possible. The question is: are you selling the solution they actually need…or answering the question they happened to ask?
You'll also hear how we've completely redesigned the coaching experience inside The Consistent 10K by replacing traditional coaching with faster communication, personalized video support, and systems built around predictable success.
Because here's what I believe:
People don't pay for more information.
They pay for transformation.
And transformation starts with communication.
If you've ever wondered why your clients aren't taking action, why your team seems stuck, or why your conversations feel repetitive, this episode will give you practical tools you can implement immediately.
I truly believe communication is one of the highest-leverage skills any entrepreneur can develop—and after this episode, I think you'll agree.
