Building a business isn't one breakthrough. It's thousands of tiny decisions made consistently.
One of the promises I've made to myself—and to you—is that I'll never let success look accidental.
Because here's the truth: businesses aren't built by luck. They're built brick by brick.
Every quarter I sit down and conduct a CEO review of what worked, what didn't, and what I'm learning. These quarterly reflections have become one of the most valuable exercises in my business because they force me to pause long enough to recognize progress, identify patterns, and intentionally build what's next.
In this episode, I'm bringing you into that process.
We're unpacking everything that happened during Q2 of 2026—from birthday lessons at Disneyland to high-level mastermind conversations, strategic breakthroughs, and the mindset shifts that are changing how I lead my business.
One of the biggest reminders this quarter came from an unexpected place: Disneyland.
While celebrating my birthday, I couldn't stop analyzing why Disney continues to create such unforgettable customer experiences. It reminded me that the best brands aren't simply selling products—they're selling emotion, identity, and transformation. Every smell, every interaction, every detail reinforces how customers feel. That's what great branding does.
If you've been wondering how to create a business people remember, this lesson alone is worth listening for.
I also share my biggest takeaways from attending an eight-figure female mastermind in Nashville.
Surprisingly, the greatest lesson wasn't about marketing or sales.
It was about listening.
Not simply hearing someone's question—but identifying the question underneath the question.
As entrepreneurs, we often rush toward answers before we've clearly identified the actual problem we're trying to solve. Once you define what you're optimizing for—more freedom, more revenue, more time, more impact—the right strategy becomes dramatically easier to identify.
This single framework has already changed how I coach clients, lead my team, and make strategic decisions.
Another major theme from this quarter was learning to celebrate.
For years I've been guilty of accomplishing something significant, checking it off my list, and immediately chasing the next goal. Sound familiar?
But during this review, I realized something that stopped me in my tracks.
If we don't pause long enough to appreciate what we've already built, how can we fully receive what's waiting for us next?
Gratitude isn't slowing your momentum.
It's fueling it.
Throughout this episode I also pull back the curtain on how I'm thinking as a CEO today versus how I thought just a few years ago. I'm sharing how I evaluate opportunities, what I'm saying “no” to, how I'm refining strategy, and why clarity has become one of my greatest competitive advantages.
Whether you're building your first six figures or scaling toward your next million, I hope these behind-the-scenes conversations remind you that business growth rarely comes from one giant leap.
It comes from laying another brick.
Then another.
Then another.
Because those small, seemingly ordinary decisions eventually become the foundation of something extraordinary.
If you enjoy these quarterly CEO debriefs, let me know! They're some of my favorite episodes to record because they allow me to share the lessons I'm actively living—not just the ones I've already mastered.
Thank you for building alongside me.
Now let's lay some more bricks together.
