Your Habits Create Success

If you've ever looked at another entrepreneur and thought…

“They make it look so easy.”

Friend, let me lovingly stop you right there.

Because what you're seeing isn't ease.

You're seeing the result of years of intentional habits.

In today's episode, I'm sharing one of the biggest lessons I've ever learned—not just as a business owner, but as a person. And surprisingly, it all started in a college cafeteria.

That lesson eventually transformed the way I approached my health, and years later, it became the foundation of how I run my business.

In this episode, we're diving into the psychology behind habits and why nearly half of what we do every single day happens automatically. I'll walk you through the Habit Loop made popular by Charles Duhigg—how every habit is made up of a cue, a routine, and a reward—and why trying to simply “quit” a bad habit rarely works.

Instead, we'll talk about replacing habits.

Because success isn't about white-knuckling your way toward discipline.

It's about making the behaviors you want so automatic that they become part of your identity.

I'll also explain one of my favorite concepts in psychology: stated preferences versus revealed preferences.

Here's what I mean…

You can say you want to build your business.

You can say you want to create content consistently.

You can say you want to prioritize your health.

But your brain doesn't believe what you say.

It believes what you repeatedly do.

That's why consistency matters so much.

Every time I post content, show up for a podcast interview, clear my inbox, or keep a promise to myself, I'm not simply checking something off a to-do list. I'm proving to myself that I'm the type of entrepreneur who follows through.

And over time?

That changes everything.

The quality of your habits determines the quality of your business.

You don't have to be the smartest entrepreneur.

You don't need the newest idea.

You don't have to be first to market.

What you do need is a set of daily habits that align with the business—and the person—you want to become.

If you've been feeling stuck, discouraged, or frustrated by slow progress, I hope this episode gives you hope.

Because success isn't reserved for people with extraordinary talent.

It's built by ordinary people who repeatedly choose extraordinary habits.

Before you finish listening, I want you to identify just one habit you're ready to replace.

Maybe it's swapping scrolling for creating.

Maybe it's replacing procrastination with planning.

Maybe it's simply becoming the person who keeps promises to yourself.

Whatever it is…

Tell someone.

Research actually shows we're much more likely to follow through when we share our commitment with another person.

So send me a DM on Instagram and tell me your new habit.

I can't wait to celebrate with you.

Because the business you want isn't built by luck.

It's built one habit at a time.
