The First Look is that moment when a bride and groom see each other for the first time on their wedding day. Traditionally this occurs as a bride walks down the aisle, but increasingly couples are opting to see each other before the ceremony. As a photographer, this is a win-win, as a First Look provides more time for photos along with a more free-flowing approach to the day. The moment a groom sees his bride is of utmost importance, so this video documents how I approach shooting a First Look. My main focuses are on letting things naturally unfold between bride and groom, listening to what is being said between the lines, and engaging the couple in the gravity of the moment.
