My preference will always be to shoot in natural light, but it's nice to feel confident using artificial light (a flash or video light) when you need to make the most of any space in any given situation. Often times photographers will face the challenge of difficult lighting scenarios—especially during bride and/or groom preparation. In this video I’ll share how I leverage both natural and artificial light, first assessing available light, using a video light as needed and responding to low-light environments in ways that allow me to vary my wedding day coverage.
