RESTART : Wedding Photos + Homework

Last week I had the honor and privilege of hosting Episode Two of RESTART : A Photography Business Makeover. What started as a crazy idea to help photographers transform their businesses has morphed into a crazy reality. Over the course of three months (we just have one month to go!), I've been working to improve how photographers run their businesses.

So far photographers going through the makeover process have booked more weddings, developed their photographic voices, and found alliances within the industry…and I couldn't be HAPPIER!! Next month, on March 6, 2013, I will host the last of our three-part show, which includes the grand reveal of new websites, improved branding, how to market your new business, how to leverage social media in your business, and so much more! Wild times, Internet, wild times are ahead.

But I'm getting ahead of myself…Episode Two challenged photographers to further hone their shooting skills in difficult situations (tight space, unidirectional light, simple background), so I'm excited to share a few photos…

Many thanks to the team who came together to make the shoot possible:
Production: creativeLIVE
Bouquet: McKenzie Powell
Dress: Ania Collection – Portland
Jewelry: Elizabeth Perry Collections
Hair + Makeup: Heather Tietjen
Models: Jason + Brittany Lauren
Backdrop: Oliphant Studio

Brittany is actually a past creativeLIVE student of mine, so when she offered to model for Episode Two, I was blown away by her support…love her!

Oh, Britt…rawr.

Last year I had the pleasure of working with McKenzie Powell for wedding florals and this girl does not disappoint! There are times I wished I lived in Seattle just so I could hire her to make me weekly flower arrangements…she's insanely talented!

If you'd like to catch up with January's homework, you can read more about it here and here.

I'll be following up personally in the Restart Facebook Group, so be sure to post your progress there as I'd love to share it next month!
Happy Wednesday!
