St Regis Monarch Beach Wedding : Katelyn+Ryan

Katelyn and her mom often talked while Katelyn was away at college. They'd have long conversations over the phone, and her mom would pester Katelyn to see if anyone caught her eye. For months Katelyn said no until one fated conversation with her mother. Katelyn confessed she'd her eye on Ryan for a while, but he told her he didn't want a relationship. Ryan was determined to focus on school, enjoy time with his fraternity brothers, and soak up his college experience for everything it was worth.

On the other end of the line, Katelyn's mom shook her head and felt badly for Ryan. No matter his determination to stay the course he plotted, Katelyn's determination to get what she wanted made every other effort seem in vain. She's one of those girls who sets her mind to something and then–poof!–magically makes it appear.

As Katelyn's mom recounted his story during her reception speech, the entire room erupted in cheers and applause. Ryan and Katelyn smiled so big their smiles looked like one big one. Their determination has morphed over the years into the determination to love. Love their family, love their friends, and love each other. For all eternity.

Katelyn and Ryan, I wish you nothing but happiness and joy. Being surrounded by your friends and family made me feel lucky to have documented your first day as a husband and wife. Your wedding was a perfect reminder of how to love and cherish each moment before it's gone. Much Love and Appreciation… j*
