Tech Tips : Behind-The-Scenes with a Reflector

It's been a while since I wrote a Tech Tips blog post, so today I thought it'd be fun to show a behind-the-scenes of JD and I making a photo. Well, it's fun for me because I happen to think the following photo of my husband at a wedding is hilarious, but I'm sure he'd have another word for it.

The sun was shining strongly on the bride, Sandra, as she stood against the gate. As we strolled the property of Kunde Estate for wedding photos, she expressed the desire to have a bridal photo captured, so we assessed the situation and used what we had on-hand to soften the harsh light. We prefer using natural reflectors, but in this case we couldn't find a strong enough source to reflect light back into her face, so JD unfolded the diffuser to soften the light. What resulted was simple portrait of a stunning woman.

It's lovely to have tools that enable us to manipulate natural light and I'm thankful for the Photoflex 5-n-1 reflector making our lives easier. However, I'm more thankful to have a partner who'll climb fences to ensure our clients are happy.
