It happened over lunch one bright afternoon. I sat with a lovely friend and we chatted about my goals for shaking up my business. As we spoke, I told her about how I'd love to do X, the desire to be asked for Y, and the insatiable need to shoot Z. And she was all, Well, do it. Why don't YOU take the reigns and do what you want to do? Just figure out a way to make it happen and DO IT!

I sat in my chair and tried lifting the ton of bricks that fell into my lap.

On my drive home from lunch, I called JD and was all, Soooo…I HAVE THIS CRAZY IDEA?!?! Yes, I ended the overtly loud sentence with exclamation points AND question marks. Truly, I didn't know which way was up.

Two months later, JD and I drove to Los Angeles at 5am for a shoot. THE shoot. This crazy, insane idea actually morphed into action. I was extraordinarily blessed to collaborate with the most amazing industry peers and I can't believe I have such amazing friends. Everyone pulled together to rally behind this idea and while I don't completely understand their generosity, I'm shackled to their kindness.

The theme of the wedding fashion shoot was The Untraditional Bride, and we wanted a mix of glam, yet with an element of femininity. All credit goes to the amazing crew and I totally owe them one. Or one hundred.
