Three Questions to Help Plan for Your Business Year…and Get Results

If you’re anything like me, I love to goal-set, write all over my six-foot-tall white board (seriously) and dream big. However, over the years, I learned that it’s better to not only think about what I want to do in the new year, but also to reflect on the previous year.

Looking back and celebrating your wins can be really exciting, but it’s not always fun to remember the things that weren’t so great.

(But if you don’t reflect on those losses and learn from them, your business may be stagnant and limited in growth in the new year. And I don’t want that for you, boo!)

For you to charge into 2019 with excitement and confidence, you have to know what worked, what didn’t, and how you can improve. So, to get your wheels turning on how to do this in your business, use the following 3 questions to nurture the inspiration and goal-set to your heart’s content!

  1. WHAT WORKED WELL IN 2018?

Starting off remembering the positives of your year will definitely put you in the right place to start your 2019 planning. You’ve heard the saying don’t reinvent the wheel, right? The biggest takeaway I’ve learned in my years of business is to do more of what works. Double-down on what worked really well last year and commit to doing more of it to propel your business forward.

  1. WHAT DIDN’T WORK WELL IN 2018?

Although I don’t want you to harp on what doesn’t work, when I am reflecting on 2018 I choose to harp on what I learned. Was there a launch that didn’t go as planned? Great, now you can do better for this year’s launch! Did you make a mistake with a major client? That’s fine, now it will never happen again! Although remembering the losses and mishaps can sting, it would hurt more to not learn from them and make the same mistakes again in 2019.

  1. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO MORE OF?

This is the fun part: when you get to dream out loud and cast your vision for the new year. Commit to yourself that you will only do things that are really inspiring to you, and only make exceptions when absolutely necessary. This step is often overlooked but it is crucial to your happiness, contentment, and ultimate fulfillment throughout the year.

Friends, I am so excited to hear your plan for 2019 after you’ve used these 3 questions to spark your inspiration. If you used this method to dream big, I’d *love* for you to head over to >>Instagram<< and tell me what your biggest goal is for the new year. See you there!
