A Second Look : Magazine Publication

In the last few weeks I spent a lot of time combing through files from various weddings for a few things I’m working on. Namely, I’m submitting weddings for possible publication, and I really don’t know what the heck I’m doing…or if I’m doing it right. It’s a new chapter in my life, but I’m excited to do things on my own and work on relationships with magazines on my own.

I’ll admit I’m scared out of my mind, but I plan on learning from every mistake I make along the way. I mean, isn’t that how life usually works? Sure, I’d love for there to be some secret advice and/or document detailing how to do everything, but–ehh–I’ll figure it out.

I ran across a few photos from weddings that have been submitted to various magazines and it wasn’t until I looked at them a second time around that I appreciated the photo in an entirely different capacity than the original edit. Life is full of pleasant surprises…

Emily and DJ’s Montage Laguna Beach Wedding…this shot is JD’s

Alicia and Steven’s Villa Del Sol d’Oro in Sierra Madre
Another shot of JD’s I love…

On different sidenote, I plan to announce my next workshop very soon, so to be the first to know, be sure to sign up for my newsletter! Happy Monday!

Your images are beautiful, as usual! You continue to be an inspiration to me and a mentor in your own non-mentoring kind of way. LOL!

I always think all your brides look gorg (as in gorgeous), but that first bride’s dress did then and still does now TAKE MY BREATH AWAY. Hands down the most beautiful wedding dress I’ve ever seen!

With photos like these I’m sure you will climb to the top of the next world, as you have done with this one. I love reading about how you constantly push yourself further, higher, regardless of how steep the hill is. Thank you for being an inspiration to those at the bottom, yearning to start their climb too.

If I didn’t say it before I will say it again it was great to meet you in Michigan. Not sure how often you are on facebook but I added you as a friend and awaiting your response. These pictures are beautiful and so glad to see you are submitting to magazine publications. After your seminar last week I had a whole new outlook on how I do business and I’m in the middle of using showit to get a new website and thank you for everything that you are sharing on here and just inspiring me by your work. If I ever get a chance to come out to Cali I would love to get together!!
