How to “show it off” (??)

Have you ever had a conversation with someone and then found yourself saying, “Well, DUHHHH…why didn’t I think of that?”

(I’m embarrassed to admit of how often that happens to me.)

A few months ago, I sat with a group of brilliant entrepreneurs to discuss business and brainstorm ideas around our biggest challenges.

I expressed my desire to speak more often at events and conferences and it went a little something like this:

J:* I’d like to source my own speaking invites and get more leads…

Jamie: Well, why aren’t you posting Reels or Tiktoks showing you speaking on stage? You have to show people what you want to book more of…

J:* Well, DUHHHH…why didn’t I think of that?

I immediately set out to get more videos edited of me speaking on stage and—guess what??—leads started sprouting in my inbox.

Jamie simply restated something I’ve always known: You have to SHOW people what you do.

  • Are you a coach? Show yourself coaching.
  • Are you a photographer? Show yourself shooting.
  • Are you a CMO? Show yourself creating a new marketing campaign.

I know it sounds simple…and here’s the thing: IT IS. It is simple.

Simply showing people what you do in the day-to-day of your business is powerful.

Don’t believe me? I recently shared my daily work schedules and they’ve been the most engaging stories on Instagram (which STILL boggles my mind because, whyyy?).

This is your reminder to show your followers MORE of what you do. They want to see your secret sauce and an inside look at what you’re building.

Show it off,

j*

P.S. Did you know that less than 1% of people have reached Self-actualization (their fullest potential)? IDK about you, but this lights a fire under my arse. Listen to my latest podcast episode, How to Reach Your Fullest Potential (in Life and Business), >>HERE<< to learn how I plan to achieve this—and more importantly—how you can, too!
