Bride Magazine Party

Yesterday morning I woke with a sore throat. I pretty much willed myself not to get sick and while I thought I was doing well, last night I hit a wall.

I probably deserve it. Instead of being curled up in bed with a cup of soup, JD and I went to the Brides Magazine Party last night. Yes, I chose Conde Nast over Campbellโ€™s so I shouldโ€™ve seen this coming!

The Jeannie Savage and the lovely ladies from Details, Details coordinated the entire event and it was fabulous. I love getting to meet new industry members at these parties, as well as seeing old friends! Good times.

How cute are these cups of chocolate souffle?!

Is it just me or do raspberries make everything look delicious?!

And for all of you who think I survive on sugar alone…here’s a healthy alternative to sweets! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I simply adore Jeannie and Michelle from Details, Details…and though Brooke is missing from the picture, they’re all fabulous! ๐Ÿ™‚

I have a shoot later today, so I’m trying to create a self-made remedy of cold-cureness. Sudafed, Vicks Vapor Rub, orange juice, and crackers. Wish me luck! ๐Ÿ™‚

You look fabulous even if you are under the weather! I have been driking an organic herbal tea from Whole Foods (you can find them online or any local health food store). It is Honey Lemon Throat Comfort. Yummy, organic, and oh so soothing – especially with a bit of honey for sweetness!!! Hope you are feeling better soon!

I hope you feel better, shooting while not feeling well is always one of those things that bothers me. I just don’t feel like I’m on top of everything. I’m sure you’ll take awesome photos, just like always!

    Hey Jasmine,
The next time you’re getting sick, at the moment you begin to feel it coming on, start drinking lots of pomegranate juice, and gargle with apple cider vinegar. It works.

Unfortunately I have a nasty sore throat as well. I am consuming lots of orange juice, and cough drops… tomato soup and crackers… well goldfish… mmm.

Another trick my mom (the biology teacher) has taught us over the year is gargling with peroxide and warm water… Do not swallow! lol If it really does help…

Honey, lemon and tea work wonders too. Hope you feel better!!!

I just came across your blog and LOVE your style! I’m an aspiring photographer and was wondering if you could tell me the kind of lenses you use and the settings for the pics of the yummy treats! I’m wanting a new lens and want to know what to get for those kinds of shots!
