Four Seasons Scottsdale Wedding : Colleen+Mark

The warm Arizona weather was a break from the cold, white days in Calgary, Canada. Colleen roamed around her suite at Four Seasons Scottsdale in flip flops, but carefully tucked her cowboy boots in the corner to wear for a long night of dancing later. A proud country girl, she'll hum her favorite fiddle tunes and line dance with anyone willing. Though she moved from her small hometown for her career, she found love in the city.

Mark's brother confessed to their parents that Mark wasn't the same. His smile was hard to find and he appeared distant after returning from a tour of duty in Iraq. The fun and jovial brother and son they knew couldn't be brought back to them. That is, of course, until he friended a beautiful brunette from work. While visiting his parents for the holidays, Mark spent a couple hours on the phone talking–and laughing–with Colleen…and it was then when Mark found himself happy. Again.

They navigated life together, created a home in Calgary, and share a love visible to all. They opted for an intimate destination wedding with 40 of their closest friends and family in Arizona. They promised to love and cherish each other for eternity under an overcast Scottsdale sky…and sealed their vow with a perfect kiss.

Mark and Colleen, I adore you both. Your day–every single moment–was perfect, real, raw, and a true depiction of your love. You're incredibly blessed with amazing family and friends and I was honored to be a small part in documenting your first day as husband and wife. I wish you only the best and I appreciate you more than I can express. Much Love and Appreciation… j*

The day started with a pair of stunning Jimmy Choo flats…I wanted these shoes for myself!

Colleen donned a stunning Vera Wang wedding dress and Chanel accessories…

Colleen and Mark have an adorable daughter, Andie, who was their flower girl…and the light of the day!

I love a bride who'll dress outside…the backdrop of Four Seasons Scottsdale is just stunning…

Colleen, you are nothing short of breathtaking. Really.

JD hung out with Mark and his groomsmen until it was time for the First Look…

The overcast sky made for perfect light!! Colleen and Mark opted to see each other before the wedding ceremony to ensure time for photos around the gorgeous property. In the moments before seeing his future wife, Mark was almost giddy with excitement…

…and his reaction says it all…

Shortly thereafter, we roamed the Four Seasons Scottsdale property for more wedding photos…

JD captured this quiet moment…he's so good at capturing candid moments!

The weather the day before and after the wedding was in the 90-degree range…but on their wedding day, Colleen and Mark enjoyed a lovely 72-degree day with views of Pinnacle Peak in the background. I'm officially smitten with Scottsdale, Arizona.

Many thanks to Ashley of Victoria Canada Wedding Planners for planning such a beautiful day and Petal Pusher for the pretty floral and decor…

One of my favorite decor elements were the dangling lightbulbs from a large tree where they married under…

Shortly after the wedding ceremony, we wandered into the desert for a few more wedding pictures…

The Four Seasons Scottsdale was the perfect place for their wedding…Colleen and Mark love the outdoors, love a good, rustic vibe, and low-key intimacy…their wedding reception was just that.

I'll end this post with a photo that depicts just how happy they were to be husband and wife.

Many thanks to the amazing team who made this wedding come to life…
