Naomi and Steven : Wedding

It was her wedding coordinator who summed her up quite nicely. She said Naomi laughed and it sounded like angels. Yes, yes it does sound like angels when she laughs. And–by the sounds of things–angels were everywhere on Naomi and Steven's wedding day. Their relationship has spanned nine years, four states, and thousands of miles and proved love conquers all.

As she descended her car at Rancho Las Lomas, angels appeared as her bridesmaids raved about the stunning weather, the zebras, and sounds of tropical birds. Naomi's laughter continued to fill the air throughout the day, and her smiled brightened an already sunny day. When Naomi saw Steven for the first time that day, tears fell from her face…and then a bout of laughter ensued, letting everyone who watched from a distance they were happy. Very happy.

After meeting at church, loving each other for nine years, and dating long-distance, Naomi and Steven will finally live in the same zip code in Miami, Florida. Much to their delight, their paths have intersected and will remain one until forever. And, if their wedding day was indication of the future, angels will follow them wherever they go.

Naomi and Steven, your day was perfect. Nothing short of perfect and I'm honored to have shared it with you. Thank you for inviting JD and me into your lives on the most special day and we know life will be wonderful to you because you're genuine, kind, and fabulous! Have fun in St. Lucia and you know I wish I was there with you! Much Love and Appreciation….J*

You know it's going to be an ultra fab day when the bride wears purple shoes!

The lovely and ever fierce Kristin of The Treasured Petal was on board to create some lovely floral designs…

Naomi and Steven opted for a First Look and saw each other before the ceremony. As many blog readers know, I think this is the absolute best way to enjoy your day and allocate enough time for photos…and because it's a winter wedding, Naomi wanted to make sure we had enough light for the pictures.

This is how you'll find Naomi most of the time…

Go on with all your fierceness, Naomi…

With many, many thanks to the uber talented and creative Angel Swanson of Events of Love and Splendor, the wedding day was perfect. No, really, it was. There were moments when I looked around and realized the day was flowing so smoothly and everything was in line and on time. It's weddings like this that make me love what I do and allow me to focus on capturing the day exactly as it unfolds.

I've always maintained that Kristin and Angel make such a great team, and I think these photos aptly show why…

Angel incorporated natural herbs into the reception, each with hand-written tabs reading: “It's about THYME…roseMARRY…MINT to be”

First Dance

Naomi and Steven also had a traditional Korean paebaek to celebrate their special day…

Part of the tradition is for the bride to jump on the groom's back and he'll carry her around…this is always great for a few laughs! 🙂

Borami, Naomi's sister and maid of honor, gave a heartfelt and funny speech…

Naomi and Steven had a custom cake topper and it was perfect for them! 🙂
