Rancho Las Lomas Wedding : Krissi + Clark

Her mother's shoes. His grandmother's fur coat. The constructed memories of vacations spent lazily in the sun together. Family. The wedding was an outpouring of family love and commitment, including the promise of building their lives intertwined by way of dedication. And the notion of family wasn't restricted to last names or blood lines. No, not at all. If you were a guest at Krissi and Clark's wedding, you were considered family.

Krissi waved to her grandparents as they perched themselves on the veranda overlooking Rancho Las Lomas, her laugh echoing through the Silverado canyon. Clark made sure glasses were filled with champagne as he raised the yellow label above his head the way Bacchus might in a moment of celebration. Together they melted into the waves of guests carried with them the joy of becoming husband and wife. Krissi and Clark promised to love each other for eternity…and vowed to keep their family–parents, siblings, friends, loved ones–their top priority as they navigate life. Together.

Krissi and Clark, the first time we met, I knew we'd be friends…I just didn't realize it'd happen so fast. I think it's because you possess the unique ability to draw people into your orbit and make them feel, well, invincible. You dream big, but hope for more and the mere fact that you bring others along for the ride is what makes you both beautiful. Inside and out. Best wishes for your lives together and I can't wait to get tacos soon! Much Love and Appreciation… j*

The day started at Rancho Las Lomas in Casa Bella, where bridesmaids bustled around and Krissi prepared for his big day. The preparation wouldn't be complete with this beautiful wedding dress by Alvina Valenta and Jimmy Choo shoes…

I love Krissi's carefree spirit and love of natural light. After noticing the room was small and poorly lit, she opted to dress outside with help of her mother…such a great decision…

While I was photographing the bride, JD was photographing the groom…just look at Clark's attention to detail…

Monogrammed cuff and cufflinks? Check and check.

Krissi and Clark expressed their desires for a relaxed day and plenty of time for photos. They opted for a First Look and saw each other before the ceremony.

Just look at his reaction…here's a groom who's excited to see his gorgeous bride.

Clark couldn't soak everything in at once, so he had to circle his bride a few times to embrace the moment…I don't think Krissi minded the attention…

The wedding day couldn't have been more beautiful…who would've thought the first weekend in January would yield at 70-degree day at Rancho Las Lomas? I mean, just look at the light…

Hearing a groom compliment his bride never gets old to me. Ever. But Clark was extra endearing as he stated he married the most beautiful woman in the world.

Sometimes it's intimidating working with large bridal parties at times, but Krissi and Clark surround themselves with amazing people. Their bridesmaids and groomsmen were perfect and so much fun to be around…

Krissi's father loves Clark (and said so quite a few times at the wedding), but it was a bittersweet moment when he had to give her away, but he knew his daughter would be well taken care of…

Handwritten vows added a personal touch, but when letters were read to their parents, there wasn't a dry eye in the house…

After the ceremony, we had more time for wedding photos and roamed the diverse Rancho Las Lomas environment in search of beautiful light…which wasn't hard to find…

Many thanks to Katie of Intertwined Events for orchestrating a flawless day. She ensured all the wedding reception details were ready to be photographed and styled a sweet reception for two sweet people.

Clark and I bonded over our love of music, so I was happy to hear their choice of First Dance song (Feel For Me by Foy Vance) was a perfect depiction of their adoration…

After the First Dance, the reception began with heartfelt speeches that set the tone for the rest of the wedding evening…

One thing I knew headed into the wedding reception was that it was not going to be a party, but a par-tay. This couple could burn holes in a dance floor and their friends followed suit. The bubbly, the music, the fun…all of it was perfect.

I'll end on this soft note…this is the way they most of the evening. Wrapped in each other's arms and in love with each moment.
