Confession: I considered making the title of this post, “Ripping You a New One.”
*Was that awkward??*
Okay, the topic – and title idea – for this post actually came from a Social Curator subscriber who asked me to audit her Instagram account… And I did!
I created a video using Tiffany’s account as an example of what anyone could do to get their posts seen and stick out in the algorithm.
Ready to know how I’d audit your social profile? Here it is!
Your Bio
The very first thing I would read is your bio. Why? Because it’s also the first thing your audience sees.
>>Your audience should quickly know exactly what you do and how it benefits them.<<
There are 5 things a successful bio should include:
- What you do
- Who you do it for
- How your business benefits them
- Your contact information
- A free gift
We call this a Boss Bio.
Your Content
Content will always reign supreme in the land of social media.
>>Your content is your credibility.<<
Let’s make sure your content is doing you justice!
Regardless of the type of business you have, the industry you’re in, or what you sell, there are 3 practices you should implement for your posts:
- Consistency. The more you post, the more opportunities you have to see what your audience reacts to. Plus, the algorithm will know who is most likely to engage with your content and serve it up to them!
- Use the H.I.C. Formula to ensure people stop their scroll and read the post. Grab their attention, offer something of value, and tell them how to interact with your post. Learn more about it >>HERE.<<
- Do more of what works. Every audience is different, so learn what people want to see more of from you. The key is to continue testing new forms of content to see what works best for YOUR audience.
