Understanding What It Really Looks Like to be a Founder with Bec Jones

I first met Bec at an event in Los Angeles for women interested in web3 and crypto. I was awkwardly hanging out at the food tables (your girl didn’t know anyone at the event), but somehow I happened to hear this really brilliant, understated, woman with a fabulous accent start explaining what she does… and I was hooked.

For the next 45 minutes, I spoke with this woman – Bec Jones – about her journey to becoming the CEO and Co-Founder of Clutch wallet, an intuitive and easy-to-understand cryptocurrency wallet. I knew I had to have her on the podcast, because her story is one we can all resonate with, regardless of what we do or what our business is.

As you’ll hear in our conversation, Bec is wildly familiar with the scrappiness and nitty-grittiness it takes to be a founder. She shares her journey to ideation and how the idea for a wallet slowly came to her after spending years learning and observing the gaps in the cryptocurrency space.

She also shares how she went to TikTok right away (long before she had a product to sell) to start creating educational content on cryptocurrency – and how it was this content that helped her establish the trust and credibility to convince investors to say “yes” to her pitch.

Bec gets very honest in our conversation about the many “nos” she has received – and continues to receive – as she grows Clutch, and we talk about the hope that tethers her even when she gets yet another “no” or “not yet” from an investor.

Friend, regardless of what business you own, this is an episode you don’t want to miss. Bec’s journey is inspiring and grounding for any Founder or want-to-be Founder  – click >>PLAY<< now to listen in!
